My inspiration
Whilst looking for an alternative plant based food source I came across moringa oleifera. Diverse crops were investigated and it turned to be a promising tool to solve some of the most severe world problems such as malnutrition, especially among infants and nursing mothers. (Kumar, H. D., 2004). Coincidentally the tree is most productive in dry regions where it is needed the most. (Young, 2018) although this powerful plant has been used to treat malnutrition in Africa and Latin-America, its benefits are yet to be widespread around the world. According to scientific studies, there are very real and measurable positive effects of this super food. To name a few: strengthens our immune system and fights infectious diseases including cold and flu. Moringa leaves have been proposed as an iron-rich food source (31% Daily Value per 100 g consumed, table) to combat iron deficiency (Oduro I, Ellis WO, Owusu D, 2008) After discovering that moringa’s daily consumption can be an effective and simple way to incorporate the necessary nutrients in our diet, the main venture's operation was defined as the production of sanitised and pulverised organic moringa leafs; a practical presentation to complement meals and beverages.
